DESCRIPTION:A talk that covers the overall health of the software supply c
hain security\necosystem. Things I'd like to cover in the talk:\n\n1. Rece
nt breaches and mitigations\, and what could have helped.\n1. Large deploy
ments and adoption patterns.\n1. A rough maturity model to help your team
benchmark where it stands. How worried should you be?\n1. Recent tooling c
hanges (SBOM/Sigstore/Package Management) that you should know of.\n1. Reg
ulations changes that might impact you.\n1. Impact and some crystal-gazing
to see where we are going.\n\n// This feels like a bit too much\, so I mi
ght have to shorten the content or go beyond the 30m limit.\n\n## Takeaway
s:\n1. Why your company should care about supply chain security.\n2. How a
re other orgs securing their supply chains\, and how can you adopt the sam
e.\n3. Recent updates in tooling/research/regulations in the space.\n\n##
Audience\nThis will be an Intermediate level talk. Some familiarity with s
ecurity is helpful/expected. Focused mainly towards security teams in mid-
large orgs\, but should be helpful to security adjacent folks as well.\n\n
 ## Who am I\nI'm Nemo\, and I built [endoflife.date](https://endoflife.dat
e). I was a founding engineer at Razorpay\, where I helped scale and secur
 e our payments stack. I'm currently a full-time open-source developer focu
sing on securing the world's supply chain\, with a focus on SBOM/EOL and C
 I infrastructure/tooling.

DESCRIPTION:Valkey\, the community-driven fork of Redis\, an in-memory dat
a store which has introduced several innovations while maintaining compati
bility with Redis APIs. In this session\, we deep-dive into the internals
of Valkey Cluster\, focusing on its distributed architecture\, failure det
ection\, partition handling\, and data sharding mechanisms.\n\nWe will dis
sect key components like the cluster bus protocol\, slot-based sharding\,
gossip-based health monitoring\, and failover orchestration. The talk will
also explore recent improvements in efficient message transfer\, failover
and extensions propagation.\n\nAttendees will gain a practical understand
ing of:\n\n* How Valkey achieves horizontal scalability beyond standalone
 setup\n* Internals of failure detection and quorum-based failover\n\nI'm H
arkrishn Patro\, Software Engineer @ AWS ElastiCache / Valkey Maintainer.
I've overall 10 years of experience mostly spent around data systems. In t
he recent years\, I spend most of my time on improving Valkey for the comm
unity. I've worked on improving memory efficiency\, scaling clustering and

DESCRIPTION:At Flipkart\, we recognized the need for a unified and robust
CI/CD platform to handle our growing scale of containerized applications.
This led to the birth of Flow\, our in-house platform built on the foundat
ion of powerful open-source technologies such as Argo Workflows\, Rollouts
\, and Helm to automate software delivery for containerized applications a
t scale. \n\nIn this session\, we'll delve into our journey of building an
d scaling Flow to support 8K pipelines per day and 4K rollouts\, managing
3K production services with 2K tenants. \n\n\nWe will share our experience
s and learnings in implementing progressive delivery at scale\, leveraging
canary deployments for 6K+ releases using Helm and Argo Rollout. Furtherm
ore\, we'll discuss how we've evolved our deployment governance capabiliti
es in Flow\, moving towards enhanced control and visibility with our Deplo
yment Governance initiative. This includes deployment aware blocking rules
and guardrails.\n\n\nWe'll also highlight the key capabilities that Flow
 provides\, including end-to-end CI/CD with progressive delivery\, environm
ent management\, policy gates\, deployment approvals\, deployment guardrai
ls\, artifact promotion\, and multi-region deployments. Expect insights in
to upcoming features like Single Box NFRs\, VM provisioning and deployment
s via Flow.\n\n\n\n**Key Takeaways:**\n\n- Understand the practical consid
erations and architectural decisions involved in building a reliable and s
calable CI/CD platform leveraging open-source technologies.\n\n- Learn str
ategies for optimizing progressive delivery workflows utilizing Helm and A
rgo Rollout for efficient and safer releases.\n\n- Gain insights into how
to implement and evolve deployment governance mechanisms to enforce polici
es and provide better control and visibility over deployments.\n\n\n\n**Au
dience:**\nThis talk is specifically designed for software developers and
architects who are involved in building and deploying applications in prod
uction environments and are looking to build or improve their organization
 's CI/CD platforms.\n\n\n**Bio:**\n\nI'm a Software Engineer at Flipkart\,

DESCRIPTION:### **Talk Description:**\nSoftware supply chain attacks are e
volving — and most static security tools just aren’t keeping up. From
malicious open-source packages to compromised build pipelines\, modern thr
eats often go undetected until it’s too late. This talk walks through *w
hy* traditional scanning misses these attacks\, and how we can catch them
at runtime using eBPF — a powerful\, low-level observability tool built
into the Linux kernel.\n\nWe’ll explore how eBPF can trace suspicious be
havior like unexpected network calls or file access from compromised build
s\, all without modifying the application. Along the way\, we’ll break d
own where existing eBPF-based tools fall short\, how to build a custom run
time monitoring layer that’s optimized for detecting supply chain tamper
ing\, and what practical alternatives exist if you can't yet run eBPF at s
cale. Expect live examples\, real-world attack patterns\, and a peek into
what it takes to operationalize this in production systems.\n\n### **Key T
akeaways:** \n- Why static supply chain security is not enough — and wh
ere runtime observability fits in. \n- How to build scalable eBPF-based d
efenses to detect malicious behavior after deployment.\n\n### **Audience:*
 * \nThis session is ideal for platform engineers\, product security teams
\, SREs\, and DevSecOps professionals working on securing CI/CD pipelines\
, containers\, and cloud-native infra. If you're thinking beyond scanners
and want to know *what really runs in prod*\, this is for you.\n\n### **Sp

security — where offensive research meets practical defense.\n\nI specia
lize in building scalable security tooling that helps organizations detect
and respond to modern threats across CI/CD pipelines\, production infrast
 ructure\, and cloud-native environments. Whether it’s analyzing source c

DESCRIPTION:# Streamlining Telemetry Data with Observability Pipelines\n##
  Introduction\nImagine you're running a cloud-native system. Everything se
ems fine\, until suddenly\, something breaks. You rush to check your logs\
, but there are millions of entries. Your dashboards are flooded with too
much data but too few answers. Meanwhile\, your Kubernetes clusters are ge
nerating even more telemetry\, making it harder to pinpoint the issue.\nMo
dern applications produce massive amounts of metrics\, logs\, and traces\,
but without a proper system\, all this information turns into noise\, slo
wing down troubleshooting and increasing costs. Observability Pipelines of
fer a smarter way to collect\, process\, and route telemetry data\, ensuri
ng that only the most relevant insights reach your monitoring tools.\n\n##
Takeaways\nIn this session\, we’ll explore how to streamline observabil
ity data using Grafana Alloy\, OpenTelemetry Collector\, and Grafana’s M
imir\, Tempo\, and Loki. Learn how to efficiently handle telemetry\, reduc
e noise\, and improve system performance. By the end\, you'll have a roadm
ap to build an observability pipeline that keeps your cloud-native environ
ments efficient\, cost-effective\, and easy to troubleshoot.\n\n## Target
Audience\nThis talk will be helpful for SREs\, DevOps\, and platform engin
eers working with on-prem and cloud-native systems\, especially those faci
ng telemetry overload or high observability costs. While the topic leans i
ntermediate\, the session is beginner-friendly. No matter your experience
level\, you'll walk away with something valuable.\n\n## About Me\nAftab is

ty\, and platform reliability. He's also a Grafana Champion and an active
contributor to the Grafana ecosystem. With expertise in Cloud\, Containeri

DESCRIPTION:# Description\nKubernetes drove the transition from VMs to Con
tainers\, but Linux distro tooling (package manager & package archives) re
mained focussed on a full blown OS. Distros didn't adapt to serve the need
s of a containerised SDLC.\n\nContainers are meant to run single-processes
in isolation\, but package management is built for VMs\, leading to bloat
ed containers that increase attack surface for applications and lead to pa
tching overhead for developers.\n\n**Minimal containers** have become the
*standard for modern application development*.\n\nThis talk explores an ap
proach for creating a Debian-inspired distro with a container-first design
.\n\n**Debian container bloat stems from**:\n1. Essential packages needed
 for VMs but not containers - like bash\, libc6\, perl-base\, gcc\n2. APT p
ackage manager footprint - installs **59 packages**\n3. Maintainer script
dependencies in Debian packages - scripts can require runtimes like perl\,
python etc\n\n**Proposing a new approach**:\n1. Portable APT replacement
implemented in Go\n2. Reimplementing maintainer scripts with minimal depen
dencies\n3. Bootstrapping a distro so that only required packages can be i
 nstalled\, no "essentials"\n\n**Security and compatibility**\nThe core ide
a stems from 1. Importance of minimal containers to reduce attack surface
while maintaining 2. Compatibility with current debian distro.\n\nSuch an
approach sets up tooling & packages for minimal container creation but com
patibility scope is limited to container lifecycle functionalities only.\n
\n# Takeaways\n\nMinimal containers help with faster container startup tim
es\, reduced memory footprint\, smaller attack surface\, and improved secu
rity\n\nAttendees of this talk would be able to understand:\n- Challenges
with container creation using tooling from existing distros.\n- Ideas for
creating tooling for secure and performant base-containers.\n\n# Target Au

DESCRIPTION:Imagine a world where developers simply describe their workloa
ds—and the platform guarantees a Zero-Trust networking setup. This sessi
on shows how we built exactly that for a fintech organization\, using serv
ice mesh for mTLS authentication\, Istio AuthorizationPolicies for precise
traffic control\, and Open Policy Agent (OPA) to enforce compliance autom
atically and early in the delivery process.\n\n### Description\nIn fin-tec
h and other regulated environments\, securing service-to-service and inter
net-bound communication is essential—but relying on teams to configure m
TLS\, authorization rules\, and firewall policies doesn’t scale and ofte
n breaks down in practice.\n\nIn this session\, we show how we built a Zer
o-Trust **networking** model into the platform itself. Developers define w
orkloads declaratively\, including the services they need to communicate w
ith. The platform takes over from there:\n– **Istio enforces mTLS** for
service identity and encrypted communication\n– **Istio AuthorizationPol
icies** define and enforce which services are allowed to communicate—bas
ed on identity\, not IP\n– **OPA validates compliance both at the level
of declared workloads and the changelog about to be deployed**\, ensuring
continuous and proactive enforcement\n\nAll of this is delivered through G
itOps pipelines—making secure\, compliant infrastructure the default wit
hout slowing down teams or increasing operational friction.\n\n### Attende
es will learn\n* How to implement Zero-Trust networking for service commun
ication using service mesh\, mTLS\, and Istio AuthorizationPolicies\n* How
declarative workload definitions can express access intent while abstract
ing enforcement\n* How OPA is used to validate both current state and inco
ming changes for continuous compliance\n* How GitOps pipelines enable auto
mated\, auditable\, and secure deployments\n* How platform engineering eli
minates manual security gates while preserving strong policy guarantees

ilt for e6data's engine that takes all the primitives of analytical worklo
ads optimised for the above and takes it to the world of semantic text sea
rch.\n\nThis talk will cover some basics of Vector search and have a brief
showcase of how it works in e6data' SQL engine. It will also see how an u
nified SQL and Vector search can power some scenarios that are often done
in separate stages.\n\nThe talk will highlight aome key challenges that Ve
ctor search design poses\, the concept of pre and post filtering\, optimiz
ation techniques and how e6 attempts to solve for this.\n\nKey Takeaways:\
n\n- Basics of design choices one must face when building a Vector Search
engine\, including optimizing CPU and Memory intensive operations.\n- Stor
age formats and how they impact perf on Vector Search\n- Vector indices -
why are they so hot\, and what are the tradeoffs especially in the lakehou

DESCRIPTION:## Overview\nIf you assume an UPDATE tweaks only a row\, think
again. In PostgreSQL\, every write is a story of versioning\, visibility\
, and vacuuming. This tech talk dives straight into the internals\, MVCC\,
dead tuples\, transaction IDs \, and shows exactly what happens when your
app writes to the database.\n\nWe’ll break down how PostgreSQL handles
concurrent transactions using MVCC\, what INSERTs and UPDATEs do on disk\,
and why bloat builds up even when you're just "updating a value." You'll
get a clear view of how PostgreSQL handles space\, tracks row versions\, a
nd why VACUUM isn't optional\, it's critical for data integrity and long-t
erm performance.\n\nWe will use tools like **pageinspect** extension and t
he **pg_stat** views to inspect what’s happening under the hood. We’ll
walk through how indexes are touched during updates by understanding a Po
stgres optimization called **Heap Only Tuples (HOT)** and how we can lever
age it to improve write throughput\, and how transaction wraparound can sn
eak up and cause real damage\, unless VACUUM steps in.\n\n## Takeaways\n-
Understand MVCC at the byte level: row versions\, xmin/xmax\, and tuple vi
sibility.\n- See exactly how INSERTs and UPDATEs behave on disk\, and how
they differ.\n- Understanding the working of VACUUM and its importance\n-
Learn how indexes respond to updates and how postgres keeps them efficient
(HOT chain).\n\n## Who is this for\nIf you’re curious to know what’s
happening behind the scenes during reads and writes in Postgres\, you’re
at the right place. We’ll uncover these internals\, which will make you
more equipped to make informed decisions when designing and optimizing yo
ur databases.\n\nI originally delivered a condensed down version of this t
his as an internal tech talk for my colleagues\, and later translated it i
nto a written blog\, which you can find [here](https://medium.com/@rohanjn
 r44/internals-of-mvcc-in-postgres-hidden-costs-of-updates-vs-inserts-381ea
dd35844). The blog gained positive traction and engagement on [Reddit](htt
 ps://www.reddit.com/r/PostgreSQL/comments/1jpfwdb/internals_of_mvcc_in_pos
tgres_hidden_costs_of/). This tech talk would include the contents from th
e blog as well as additional details on vacuum and impact on indexes.\n\n#

DESCRIPTION:# Overview\nGossip protocols provide a probabilistic and resil
ient way to send updates\, detect failures\, and synchronize state across
a fleet of nodes in a distributed system to drive eventual consistency.\n\
n## Rumour Mongering\nWe will try to understand the core mechanics of how
the rumour mongering gossip protocol works\, how each node picks a small r
andom fan‑out of peers and sends only new “rumours\,” and merges inc
oming updates into its local state. \n\nWe will then try to build intuitio
n for these protocols through interactive visualizations\, and explanation
s that shows how rumors spread through nodes in real time. \n\nFinally\, w
e will look at a concise implementation of the rumor-mongering protocol wr
itten in Rust\, and learn how we can extend it to build reliable gossip sy
stems.\n\n## Takeaways \n- Understanding Gossip Protocols and how real wor
ld systems drive eventual convergence.\n- Learning by Doing: Implementing
the rumor-mongering protocol through a step-by-step walkthrough helps buil
 d a solid mental model of gossip protocols.\n\n## Audience\nThis session i
s ideal for engineers who are building distributed systems and want a clea
 r\, intuitive grasp of gossip‑driven consistency—and a hands‑on reci
pe for building it in Rust.\n\n## Bio\nShriram Balaji works as a Senior So

ests per day. He likes to tinker with systems\, databases\, compilers and

DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, we’ll explore how Atlas\, ShareChat’s Inter
nal Developer Platform (IDP)\, is not just solving infrastructure challeng
es — it’s transforming the way teams work. Designed to abstract away c
omplexity and standardize cloud-native operations\, Atlas empowers develop
ers to self-serve everything from provisioning to access management and wo
rkflow automation. What began as a technical initiative to reduce operatio
nal toil has evolved into a powerful engine for cultural change.\n\nBy emb
edding automation\, intelligent defaults\, and policy enforcement into the
developer experience\, Atlas has enabled a shift from reactive support to
proactive ownership. Developers are no longer dependent on centralized De
vOps teams for day-to-day operations — instead\, they are equipped to ma
nage their own services confidently and securely. This has led to increase
 d velocity\, stronger cross-team collaboration\, and a shared sense of acc
ountability. The talk will share real-world insights into how platformizat
ion can drive cultural transformation when built with empathy\, usability\
, and scale in mind.\n\n### Takeaways from the session:\n1. Understand how
  platformization — when implemented with guardrails\, automation\, and e
mpathy — can spark a positive cultural shift\, transforming DevOps from
a support function into an enabler of innovation.\n2. See how Atlas levera
ges metadata-driven resource mapping and policy-as-code to automate provis
ioning\, access control\, and catalog management across a large-scale infr
astructure.\n3. Key architectural patterns behind Atlas — task engine\,
 webhook automation\, and cloud-native integrations.\n\n### Target Audience
