JSFoo Pune 2019

JSFoo Pune 2019

JSFoo is a JavaScript conference hosted by HasGeek.

JSFoo is the annual JavaScript conference hosted by HasGeek. The Pune edition is the second edition (JSFoo in Pune in 2012, and ReactFoo in January 2018).

HasGeek launched JSFoo in 2011 as India’s first JavaScript conference. The JS community in India has grown phenomenally since then. JavaScript now prevades every aspect of web development - browsers, apps, front-end, back-end, mobile and IoT, and there’s always scope to understand new ideas and solutions. The conference explores new ideas, implementing innovative solutions, and learning from experiences, especially negative ones.

Optimizing Angular Components

Submitted Sep 22, 2018

Teach a couple of simple tricks to optimize the runtime performance of Angular components. Also go in slight details about how Angular runs change detection and determines when and how to update the DOM

Outline

-Demo an app with a component

-Do a couple of simple code optimizations on the component

-Learn about Angular’s change detection in the process

-Become a smarter and better Angular programmer!

Requirements

A very basic understanding of Angular would be beneficial. Even if that’s not the case, the talk should still be relevant for anyone who may develop in Angular in future.

Speaker bio

Born and brought up in Pune, I’ve been a Software Engineer at Google for last 7 years. I started doing frontend programming since last year with Angular and RxJS and fell in love with it!
