After Bangalore and Pune, JSFoo is coming to Chennai! JSFoo is a one day conference about developing next-generation applications in JavaScript. Join us for a full day of intense sessions on a variety of topics ranging from core JavaScript concepts to building complete web-applications in JavaScript.

Sessions are for 45 minutes each: 30 minutes speaking, 10 minutes of Q&A and 5 minutes for people to move between rooms. Tickets are free for confirmed speakers. 30 minutes swat tutorial to re-construct the visualization from Google Zeitgeist 2011 application, ground up.

Outline

Building data visualizations using JavaScript and HTML is exciting and shows a lot of promise. This is demonstrated by what Google showcased in their zeitgeist 2011 app - This tutorial will take one of that visualizations and re-construct it ground up. We’ll see how we can achieve a near pixel perfect representation of the visualization with a simple, step-by-step approach

Requirements

Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and Canvas.

Speaker bio

Harish Sivaramakrishnan is a developer evangelist at Adobe Systems, based out of Bangalore, India. He has over a decade of experience working in web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Flex & Adobe Flash. Prior to joining the evangelist position, He was a Computer Scientist working in the Adobe Flex SDK team at Macromedia and Adobe.He is extremely passionate about dynamic programming languages, user experience and interaction design. His job takes him across the world to meet extremely passionate developers and gives me him opportunity to present at several leading tech conferences.
