JSFoo is an event on building apps with JavaScript. This is an event on what it takes to build full size apps with JavaScript, whether in the frontend or backend.

This event is now over. It was on October 1, 2011, in Bangalore.

Sessions were 45 minutes each. The venue was Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram again, in the Christ University campus at Dairy Circle.

Understanding a potential use of HTML Canvas for developing interactive Stock Charts and How to do live charts using node.js and socket.io

Outline

In this demo we describe how we can develop interactive real-time stock charts using HTML 5 canvas and node.js with socket.io. Basically this will initially introduce, tickp a library for plotting js charts and how to use it for real-time charts using a simple demo

Requirements

internet connection and ability to do SSH to a server (without all the http_proxy and stuff)
