How to scan the QR code on a Hasgeek conference badge to receive an attendee's contact information
All Hasgeek conference attendees receive a conference badge when they arrive at the Registration desk on the conference day. Each conference badge has a unique QR code which contains the attendee contact details (as submitted during ticket assignment).
You can retrieve the contact information of attendees who visit your booth by scanning their QR code with your Hasgeek account.
Please follow the instructions below -
- Go to hasgeek.com.
- Login (or sign up) to your Hasgeek account.
- Click on the account icon (on the bottom right on mobile).
- In the menu, click on ‘Account settings’. This will take you to your Hasgeek account page.
- Click on the ‘Scan badge’ button (or ‘Scan’ button on bottom centre on mobile).
- Point the camera at the QR code on the attendee’s conference badge to save it to your account.
- You can view and download contact details as contact cards from the ‘Contacts’ button on your account page.
As best practice, we recommend you inform an attendee when scanning their badge and how you will be using their contact details.
