graphic design is a large commercial area which proprietary softwares are dominating. lack of Adobe and such designing products is the main issue when a windows/mac user come to Gnulinux. but it is possible to do professional works using gnulinux and libre softwares.
i would like to introduce some success stories with libresoftware designs and projects like David Revoy’s Pepper&Carrot, Raghavendra Kamath professional works with krita.
also i am trying to introduce (not tutorials, just introduction to these possible softwares)
inkscape
gimp
krita
scribus
kdenlive
Synfig Studio
blender
I am co-founder of alpha fork technologies, which basically a webdesigning startup. i had worked in DTP and designing sector. i was using proprietory softwares there, so i tried to change them into libre softwares and some of my works get migrated to freesoftwares. basically i am a gnulinux lover, designer, and programmer.
