This talk focuses on helping students to get started with contributing to open sources.
Contributing to open source projects comes up with a lot of exciting things with it.
Newbies usually have questions like :

- What to choose?
- How to find out a project which matches my skillset?
- Is GitHub the only thing to get started with open source projects?
- I don’t how to code, can I contribute to some open source project?
- My doubt is stupid, I’m afraid no one will answer?
- No one replied my mails how can I get answers of my question?
- I’m stuck, how should I go on fixing it, will mentors reject me if I ask this doubt?
- Why should I contribute to open source projects?
- What will I get if I contribute to open source community?
- Is it necessary to learn Git?
- What is a bug tracker?
- Are there any summer of code programs other than Google Summer of Code?
If you search you will not find a guide which has everything about getting started with contributing to open source. We want this talk to be that guide for the first time contributors.
