DESCRIPTION:# AI\, DPDP & the new data perimeter\n### A curated round tabl
e on securing sensitive data at runtime\n📝 **Date:** Tuesday\, 25 Augus
 t 2026\n📝 **Time:** 1:30 PM arrival & networking · 2:00–3:30 PM roun
 d table · 3:30 PM onwards high tea & networking\n📝 **Venue:** InMobi\,
Bengaluru\n📝 **Format:** Round table with 25 technology practitioners
working on rearchitecting their organization's data landscape for DPDP com
pliance.\n\n---\n\n## About the round table: practitioner focus\nDPDP Rule
s\, 2025 are notified law now. Organizations must comply with obligations
such as 72-hour breach notification\, 90-day erasure response\, and annual
audits for Significant Data Fiduciaries (SDFs). Most enterprise AI stacks
weren't built to adhere to these obligations. Vector stores\, agent memor
y\, and foreign-hosted inference calls don't map cleanly onto DPDP's assum
ptions about consent boundaries and data lineage.\nThis round table is for
the people building the controls — enterprise architects\, experienced
security and data engineers\, and GRC practitioners working inside the dat
a pipeline rather than around it. _If your work involves reading model log
s\, implementing redaction\, writing IAM policies\, designing audit trails
into agent workflows\, or deciding where tokenization sits in a RAG pipel
ine — this session is for you._ The legal language and policy drafting i
nvolved in DPDP will not be the main focus of the discussion.\nWe want exp
erienced practitioners to participate: those who have seen the patterns in
how different enterprises are handling data management and compliance\, w
hat worked and what didn't.\nThe conversation stays close to the Rules the
mselves. Where does tokenization or access control actually sit in a RAG p
ipeline? What happens to consent when an agent is mid-session? What does "
SDF-ready" runtime control look like\, before you're forced into it?\n\n##
📝 Hosts\n**The Fifth Elephant** is hosting this round table.\n**Ravi B
algi\, community editor at The Fifth Elephant and architect at DataNimbus*
 * is curating and moderating the conversation. His own work in enterprise
technology and payments architecture\, and the patterns he is tracking acr
oss enterprises adopting DPDP\, shape the questions to stay grounded in th
e Rules' actual text and the real architecture decisions teams are wrestli
ng with right now.\n**InMobi** is hosting the round table on-site. InMobi
will also participate in the discussion on how to navigate DPDP's implicat
 ions for AI-scale data architecture.\n**Roshmik Saha\, co-founder & CTO\,
Skyflow**\, joins as a practitioner who has built encryption\, tokenizatio
n\, and runtime data-access systems at this scale — engaging as a peer o
n an open industry problem.\n\n## How to participate\nSeats are limited. M
embers of The Fifth Elephant and Rootconf communities can register directl
y and bring a +1. If you are not the right person from your organization f
or this conversation\, you are welcome to bring a colleague in your place
 — or nominate them instead of yourself — as long as they're hands-on w
ith data architecture or DPDP compliance work.\n\n**Register/nominate a co
