Multi-agent AI systems are rapidly becoming one of the most practical and intuitive ways to build LLM-powered applications; but designing agents that can reason, collaborate, and disagree meaningfully still remains a challenge. This workshop introduces participants to multi-agent architectures through a uniquely engaging lens: a philosophical debate between Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. By blending classical reasoning styles with modern agentic patterns, the session helps participants deeply understand how agent personas, memory, and orchestration shape emergent system behavior.
Through a hands-on, guided coding experience using local LLMs (SLMs), attendees will build a fully functioning multi-agent debate framework from scratch. Participants will design distinct agent personalities, implement multi-turn dialogue flows, manage shared and private memory, and integrate tool-calling capabilities. By the end, they will walk away with a reusable architecture for collaborative or adversarial AI systems applicable to areas like brainstorming, research assistance, tutoring systems, and decision-support tools.
Level: Intermediate developers and AI practitioners
