This talk will cover various issues related to Networks and the ways to leverage Social Network Analysis techniques to gather inferences and insights from them.
This talk will cover various issues related to Networks and the ways to leverage Social Network Analysis techniques to gather inferences and insights from them. There is opportunity in mining the intelligence with regard to entities in networks, the content exchanged among them as well as their peer-groups. Multiple inference options exist for understanding the behavior of entities. One area of analysis is that of focusing on the content purely, to try and discover concepts, facts or opinions from the content posted by entities. A second type of analysis is to focus on the users themselves to discover networks (or sub-groups) in the community and to learn how those sub-groups get formed or change. This type of analysis provides a greater value if analyzed over time as the analysis could reveal the sources of knowledge and not just the expression of the knowledge. We will discuss the formation and analysis of networks around a range of scenarios including Organizations, Social Media, Key Influencer Identification, Board of Directors, Text Analytics, Patent Networks etc.
Jai is a Product and Service Innovation leader with extensive experience in inventing, conceptualizing, building, commercializing and monetizing successful product and service innovations across SMAC (Social, Mobility, Analytics & Cloud) areas. He has experience in research, innovation and go to market for products, platforms and solutions, technology strategy, intellectual property creation, thought leadership and service practice development. Jai has several granted patents and has published in a number of leading peer reviewed journals and conferences. Jai obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and also holds an MBA. He is a recipient of the Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Fellowship at the University of Oxford.
