Abstract

Make app developers comfortable with using MAT to analyze their apps and understand how their apps are consuming memory. This will help them improve their apps' performance and debug memory problems that their app may run into.

Outline

Memory Analyzer Tool is a very useful tool in Android SDK. I will talk about MAT and demonstrate the use of it using some test apps. Will explain various features of MAT and show how heap dumps can be used to solve some memory related issues.

Requirements

Attendees should be familiar with basic Android app building.

Speaker bio

Lakshman is a cofounder of little eye labs, startup building tools for mobile app developers and testers. He has about 10 years of experience working in various developer tools of which 5 years is specifically on memory analysis tools.
