COEP FOSSMeet‘19 is College of Engineering, Pune’s own Free and Open Source Software event. It is jointly organised by Computer and IT department, COEP, COEP’s Free Software Users Group (COFSUG) and COEP’s - Information and Cyber Security Research Group (COEP - ICSRG).

With a vision to promote the culture of openness, innovation, and freedom, the meet intends to bring together FOSS developers, academicians, researchers, students and all those who love the FOSS movement and provide an opportunity to all technophiles out there to participate in the FOSS development and adoption process through hands-on sessions, discussions and lectures.

What is a CMS?

Lots of people today use Content Managment Systems, The talk is going to be about understanding the concept of a Content Managment System. Drupal will be used as a demo tool for the same.

Outline

Content managment system are today a buzz in the market. In this talk I propose to go through the differentiation between tradational website v/s content managment systems. Should you really go in for a CMS. Drawbacks and advantages of a CMS. Which CMS is suitable for what purpose etc.

Requirements

Since this will be Demo session, a room with projector should be enough.

Introduction to TLSv3 Protocol

TLSv3 protocol is recently released in Aug 18. It have major differences between 1.2 and 1.3. This protocol stoped supporting to different hash algorithms, elliptic curves and 3 way hadshake. As those will be get break easily in coming years. To make it more secure new algorithms are added, changed way of handshake. etc. more
