An Evening with Magical Womxn

SF and SFF genre discussions

“Goddess,” “pisachini,” “chudail,” – many are the labels thrown at women, in an attempt to control them. And yet, there are some women, who reclaim these labels. They weave magic with their words, to write in power about themselves and their experiences, no longer held hostage by old narratives.
T G Shenoy tags Magical Women as, “one of the essential reads of recent times,” and for Vijayalakshmi Harish it “speaks to the #MeToo generation of women, who are no longer willing to grin and bear it.”

Join us, in speaking to Sukanya Venkatraghavan, author of Dark Things and editor of the anthology of feminist SFF, Magical Women, and writers Shreya Ila Anasuya, and Nikita Deshpande, who both have stories in the book, to talk about the anthology, about their writing in general, and how they see feminist SFF evolving.

As always, you get a chance to interact with the authors too, so click on the ‘Register’ button, and keep your questions ready. An Evening with Magical Women Awaits!
