Simon Peyton Jones was a key contributor to the design of the now-standard functional language Haskell, and is the lead designer of the widely-used Glasgow Haskell Compiler (GHC). Simon’s main research interest is in functional programming languages, their implementation, and their application. He has written two textbooks about the implementation of functional languages. He is particularly motivated by direct application of principled theory to practical language design and implementation — that is one reason he loves functional programming so much.
In this fireside chat, Vimal Kumar - founder and CEO at Juspay - will be in conversation with Simon to discuss:
This event is organized as part of Juspay’s efforts to build the Functional Programming (FP) ecosystem in India.
Participation: This event is free to attend. RSVP to receive the Zoom link. If you have questions for Simon, post them in [Comments] before and during the session.
